Christchurch Police investigate stabbing

A 28 year old man will appear in the Christchurch District Court today charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm after a stabbing incident in Gloucester Street last night.

Police were called to a private address just before midnight.

Today Police are conducting a scene examination and area inquiries.

The 24 year old male victim is reported to be in a stable condition in Christchurch Hospital.
