Homes evacuated due to gas leak - West Auckland

A contractor has hit a gas pipeline on the corner of Ranui Station Rd and Swanson Rd in West Auckland.

Houses in the immediate vicinity have been evacuated and road blocks have been placed at the following intersections.

RANUI STATION/ROBERTSON WAITEMATA/SWANSON RANUI SWANSON/LUANDA LUANDA/ARMADA. It is expected it will take at least another 2 hours to fix the leak.

The only building evacuated is the library which is across the road from the leak and down wind.
