One dead in Tanker v Car crash

Emergency Services are in attendance at a fatal motor vehicle crash between a milk tanker and a car on State Highway 2 East, between Waimana Road and Eagle Hill Road, Waimana. The crash happened just before 2:30 this afternoon. One person is confirmed dead. State Highway 2 East is closed either side of the crash site and will remain closed for several hours. Diversions are being put in place by Transit staff. No further information is available at this stage. Further information will be released if and when it becomes available.
