Fatal Waikato crash

Emergency Services are in attendance at the scene of a fatal motor vehicle crash at the intersection of State Highway 27 and Given Rd, Ngarua, Matamata-Piako District. The crash occurred at just after 8:30 pm this evening. One person is confirmed dead. Initial reports are that there is only one vehicle involved. State Highway 27 is closed. Diversions are in place at the intersection of State Highway 27 and Kereone Rd and at the intersection of Campbell and kereone Rd. No other details are available at this stage.
