New Windsor to Waikumete Cemetery

Ian Graham, the chairman from Auckland Co-Op Taxi's has informed Police of the funeral for the taxi driver killed last week.

He advised that there will be 300-400 cars, most of them taxis, leaving from 9A Mersey Place in New Windsor and heading to Waikumete Cemetery in West Auckland at 1145am on Thursday.

Their route from 9A Mersey Pl will be:

• Mersey Place into Laburnum Rd, right towards Richardson Rd
• Turn left on Richardson Rd to New North Road
• Turn left on to New North Rd and follow through to Great North Rd
• Great North Rd through to Waikumete Cemetery for the funeral service at 1pm.

Motorists are advised that there will be inevitable traffic delays as a result. Please be patient, and where possible, use other routes between 11.45am and 1pm.
