Vehicle Crash, SH1

21:06, 10 Feb 2010 - A car has crashed into a bank on State Highway One by Raumati Rd, Kapiti.

There are no injuries however the southbound lanes have been closed by emergency services while they deal with the incident.

As a result of the crash the car has lost a wheel which has been unable to be located.

The main trunk rail line is near this incident and therefore trains have been put hold while emergency services ensure the wheel has not ended up in a position so as to be a danger to rail traffic.

Drivers are advised to delay their travel around this area for a short period while this incident is cleared.
