Northbound lanes, Southern Motorway, between Papakura and Takanini

About 5:40 am on 15 February 2010 a truck caught fire and burned out. The incident happened on the Southern Motorway in the northbound lane between Papakura and Takanini.

The incident is believed to have occurred as the result of a flat tyre catching fire.

The northbound lane of the motorway is closed between the Papakura and Takanini offramps. Diversions are in place along Great South Road.
