Update - Olivia Rutherford investigation

Members of the Police National Dive Squad are searching the Wellington waterfront for items that may belong to Olivia Rutherford.

The eight member squad started searching the Taranaki Wharf area at around 9.30am, starting at the lagoon.

"Olivia was last seen in the CBD so it makes sense to search the waterfront due to its proximity to the city centre," says Sergeant Matt Boyce. "Staff are canvassing parks and open areas as well."

Sergeant Boyce says members of the public have provided information on possible sightings of Olivia. He urges anyone else with information to contact Police on 381 2000 or through Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
