Logging truck crash near Foxton

2.10pm - Police are currently attending a motor vehicle accident at the Whirokino Bridge, State Highway One, Horowhenua (just south of Foxton)

A logging truck has rolled on the bridge. Initial reports are that the driver of the logging truck was trapped in the vehicle. Logs from the overturned logging truck and the truck itself are completely blocking State Highway One. Additionally, logs from the overturned logging truck have destroyed part of the bridge infrastructure, which will need to be repaired.

Diversions are in place.
