Another bomb scare closes streets in Christchurch

Christchurch Police are attending an incident at the Supa Centre Shopping Complex on Main North Road, Christchurch.

A large case has been found in the carpark area and is being treated suspicious at this stage.

The complex is being evacuated and Main North Rd closed between Radcliffe Road and Englefield Road.

Police have now opened the site at the Supa Centre Shopping Complex on Main North Rd, Christchurch.

The article concerned was a large suitcase and was found to contain nothing untoward.

Enquiries will be continuing as to the ownership of the case and how it came to be there.

Papanui Police station will be doing the follow up enquiries.

All roads are now open.
