Man named in fatal plane crash

The man who died in the crash of a small plane at Marsden Cove yesterday afternoon was Stacy Jarrod Hopper.

Witness state that after taking off, the plane had travelled around 200 metres before seeming to hit a wind gust, causing one of the wings to dip.

One wing clipped a parked car, braking off part of the wing, and damaging the car's windscreen. Two people had been in the car and suffered minor cuts from flying glass from the windscreen.

After striking the car, the plane travelled another 100 metres before hitting the ground.
