Fatal crash on bridge near Otorohanga

A single vehicle overturned on a one lane bridge near Mangawhero (Otorohanga). The driver was trapped in the vehicle. He was extracted from the car but died soon afterwards. There were no passengers in the vehicle. The deceased is a male in his teens. Emergency services and the police serious crash unit are at the scene.

Mangawhero Road is blocked to traffic. Traffic is being diverted at northern end of Mangawhero road on to Otewa Road. Traffic is being diverted at the southern end of Mangawhero road on to Hewer Road.
