Crash - SH1, Kaipara

At about 7:27 this morning emergency services attended motor vehicle crash on SH1 about 1km north of Kaipara Flats Road. The crash involves a car -v- tree, the lone occupant of the vehicle was trapped with critical injuries. The injured party has been flown by helicopter to hospital. Traffic is being diverted into Woodcocks Road then onto West Coast Road and finally onto SH16. No further information in known at this stage.
