Coatesville/Riverhead Highway crash closes road

Police, Fire and Ambulance are attending to a single vehicle crash along the Coateville/Riverhead Highway.

The vehicle has ended up on its roof and there appears to be several occupants trapped inside.

The highway is entirely blocked and diversions are in place at the intersection of the Highway and SH 17 to the east and the intersection with Screen Rd to the west.

One freed occupant has suffered critical injuries.

Motorists are asked to stay away from this area if at possible.
