A public meeting will be held on 29 March at which time the results of an urban
planning review of the Cromwell Town Centre will be presented.

The Cromwell Community Board earlier engaged Urbanism Plus, a nationally
respected Urban Design consultancy to evaluate the recent work on the Town Centre
and provide its technical expertise to move towards a practical solution that would be
acceptable to the community. Addressing the needs and concerns of residents,
community groups, land-owners, retailers and passing travellers has also been a
consideration.

Urbanism Plus conducted a series of focus group meetings as well as a public
workshop in Cromwell in early February. They returned later in the month to conduct
an intensive three day workshop involving representatives from retailers and owners
as well as members of such groups as Cromwell Promotions and the Cromwell
Community Planning Group. Council staff with relevant areas of expertise also took
part.

Urbanism Plus is returning to Cromwell to present its preliminary report. This is a
great opportunity for residents of Cromwell and surrounding areas to see the first-cut
outcomes and to give their initial thoughts on a possibly vision for the future of the
Mall.

Everyone is invited to attend this meeting.
