Crash - Eketahuna

At approximately 4:30 pm on Friday the 19th March 2010, emergency services attended a single vehicle crash on State Highway Two north of Eketahuna.

The sole occupant of the vehicle appears to have veered across the highway and into a power pole. The victim was extracted and taken to Palmerston North Hospital with serious injuries, where she remains in a stable condition.

The vehicle involved is a brown Mitsubishi Gallant registration number PP4827.

At this stage Police Serious Crash is investigating to determine the cause of the crash.

The Eketahuna Police are also seeking information from potential witnesses who may have seen the vehicle prior to or indeed the crash.
