Do you have any burning questions about building, budgeting or energy saving around the home?

This year’s Taranaki Daily News Home and Lifestyle Expo is seeking questions from the public for a team of experts to answer during the three-day event at TSB Stadium in April.

“This is a great chance for people to get answers to the questions they have on a variety of home-related topics,” says Manager Events Melissa Devine-Collins.

“We want people to submit their questions through the Council’s website before Thursday 1 April. We’ll sort through them to identify the most frequently-raised issues then have our experts answer them during their public sessions at the expo.”

To submit your questions, go to newplymouthnz.com and fill in the online form.

The Taranaki Daily News Home and Lifestyle Expo takes place on 9, 10 and 11 April.

Michael Lawley from ECO Innovation will talk on renewable energy ideas for New Zealand homes, such as solar hot water heating.

Lyn Webster, of Pig Tits and Parsley Sauce fame, will be talking about shopping for success and how to decrease shopping bills.

The Council’s Peter Scantlebury will talk about lessons learned from the leaky homes problem, and what those who are planning to build a home should do before they apply for a building consent.

“We’re happy to get home-related questions outside of these topics, and we’ll look at how to answer those at the expo as well,” says Mrs Devine-Collins.

More than 100 exhibitors will be at this year’s expo, covering everything from the garden to the house.
