Is it a treasure hunt? An orienteering course? Or just a whole lot of running around? It's all three! It's the Almost Amazing Race 2.0 - an exciting day full of fun, strategy and friendly competition.

The aim of the game is to form a group made up of four 12 - 20 year olds and beat all the other groups in an all-day challenge.

The race on Friday 16 April will take you all over the city and takes place during the school holidays.

The Council's Youth Advisor Georgie Rhoades says the competition is "just like the one you might have seen on television - only way more interesting.

"Starting off and finishing at Civic Square, you'll be tasked with going to lots of different city locations and completing a challenge at each place before being given part of a phrase. Prizes go to the first group back, and also the first group to complete the phrase," says Georgie.

Prizes include pool passes, library money, movie tickets and an MP3 player.

Places are limited for this competition, so be sure to register on the Wellington City Libraries website by Friday 9 April.
