Crash - Manawatu Gorge

The Manawatu Gorge is closed to all traffic due to a fatal crash. Shortly after midnight a large truck and trailer unit has crashed through the barriers into the gorge and the male driver of the truck, who was the sole occupant, has died at the scene. The police serious crash unit was called to the scene and is currently investigating the crash. The road is not expected to reopen until mid morning.
