Red Bull Mini Drome comes to K Rd
The aim is to shrink a cycling velodrome to the smallest possible size while maintaining race worthy dimensions to enable single timed races, and the treacherous two person pursuit.
Not only that, but it is going to be built inside a nightclub so people can look down from the mezzanine level and watch the spinning madness below.
The Mini Drome will be 7m wide and 14m long and 3.5m high at each end and made of plywood.
The Studio at 340 Karangahape Road will be transformed on Easter Sunday the 4th of April.
Street fixed gear riders and track racing guns alike can come and race each other pit their skills to see who will be the champion.
Racers will be able to enter for free, spectators can pay a paltry $10 cover and watch the mayhem and enjoy the after party featuring Shotgun Alley rocking the stage.
