Fatal crash on Gordonton Rd

10.30 am - Police and emergency services are currently attending a crash on Gordonton Rd in Taupiri involving a car and a truck.

One person has been confirmed deceased and several others have suffered critical injuries.

Circumstances of what took place are still evolving and to be advised as soon as they become more certain.

Traffic is now closed off at the intersection of SH1 and SH1B to the north and where SH1B intersect with Henry St in the south. Motorists are advised not to use SH1B at all.
