Cyclist in serious condition

At approximately 1130am today Police were advised that there had been a motor vehicle accident involving a car and a cyclist on the Old west coast road between Miners and Buchanan's roads.

A 51 year old female cyclist has been taken to Christchurch hospital with serious injuries. Police are currently talking with the driver of the vehicle and inquiries are continuing .
