Fire at Counties-Manukau Sports Foundation

5.47am - The Fire Service are attending to the premises of the Counties-Manukau Sports Foundation building which is on fire, situated at 190 Weymouth Rd in Weymouth.

Weymouth Rd is now closed from the intersection with Sykes Rd to the west and Friedlander Rd to the south east. Traffic diversions are in place and are being manned by both Fire and Police staff. Southbound traffic on Rowandale are being diverted through Burndale Crescent back onto Weymouth Rd.

These diversions are estimated to be in place for another hour.
