Enquiries into double fatal continue

Police are continuing to investigate a head on crash that occurred on SH1 north of Waiouru that left two people dead, and five people injured on Sunday the 4th April.

Haina Gladys STEWART died when the vehicle that she was in collided head on with a Mitsubishi Stationwagon that was overtaking a truck on SH1 north of Waiouru.

Another passenger from another vehicle also died but Police will not release his name at this stage until his parents overseas have been notified.
