Double homicide enquiry in Hokitika

At approximately 2.55pm on Tuesday 6th April 2010, acting on information received, Police went to an address in Fitzherbert Street, Hokitika. They were met outside the address by a distressed man. On further searching of the property, Police located two deceased males.

At present a man in his 40’s is assisting Police with their enquiries and a double homicide enquiry has commenced.

Police from throughout the Tasman Policing area will be used to establish what has happened at the scene.

The deceased are yet to be identified. When NOK have been notified, their names will be released.
