Crash - SH27 Matamata

Police and Ambulance are attending a truck vs car crash on SH27 between Wardville and Gillert Rd.

The lone driver of the truck has suffered minor injuries.

An occupant of the car is deceased. It is not known at this time how many were in the car and/or any description of the deceased.

SH27 in this area is closed off and units are stationed at the intersections with Wardville and Gillert to divert traffic. The traffic volume at the present time is described as moderate and will be monitored closely.
