Armed Offenders Callout

At about 11.00am the Armed offenders' Squad were called to an address at 98 St Georges Road, Avondale.

Information was that there was a person in that address responsible for a string of violent offences in the central and west Auckland areas over the last two weeks.

St Georges Road was cordoned off at Chalmers and Kevinside Streets and the AOS made entry to the premises.

The person was not in the address when Police effected entry.

There were no shots fired and no persons injured as a result of this incident.
