Stunt sees police called to Auckland Viaduct

This evening Auckland City Police attended an incident where members of the public saw a man with what appeared to be a gun.

Police had received several calls from worried members of the public.

Armed Police officers attended and found a marketing company performing a stunt with a plastic gun.

Police consider these type of stunts to be very ill advised and have real concerns that a similar one may one day end in tragedy.

Police are speaking to two men in relation to offences under the Arms Act.
