Operation King

Operation KING is an investigation into the spate of armed robberies which had occurred around the greater Auckland area between January and March this year.

Police working on the enquiry have arrested a 26 year old South Auckland man that they had been seeking in connection to these robberies.

The man was arrested near Matamata with assistance from member of the Waikato armed offender squad.

He will be appearing in the Manukau District Court on Saturday 17th April 2010 charged with the Aggravated Robbery of a jewellery store in Remuera and the unlawful taking of a motor vehicle used in the commission of the robbery.

No further comment will be made by Police in relation to this mans arrest.
