Fatal Northland crash

At about 2.50pm [Saturday] on Russell Road, Whangaruru, a vehicle has failed to negotiate a bend and gone 50 metres down a bank into a gully.

The sole occupant, a lady in her 70's, died at the scene.

The Police Serious Crash Unit are investigating.
