Two final events will round out the last day of the 2010 National Dog Championships before this afternoon's prize giving.

Handlers and their dogs can look forward to more fine weather today while they compete. An agility and article search test for patrol dogs will open today's competition, followed by a building search scenario to test narcotic and explosive dogs. In the narcotic detection and explosive detection categories, Police will compete against Customs, Department for Corrections and Aviation Security teams.

Eleven Police patrol teams from around the country qualified at regional competitions in order to be eligible for entry to the three day nationals. All will be left on the edge of their seats, as competition results are kept secret until prize giving.

The ceremony will be held this afternoon and will be attended by the Commissioner of Police, Howard Broad.
