More than 24 000 Canterbury children have asthma

This week is Asthma Awareness Week and the Asthma Foundation is stressing the high prevalence of the illness in Aotearoa.

Applying the 1 in 4 children have asthma statistic to the Canterbury region alone gives a figure of more than 24 000 children under 15 years old.

That is why people need to support the Asthma Foundation’s Balloon Day campaign at www.asthmafoundation.org.nz – to help the Foundation continue to enable the wonderful work it does in communities across New Zealand.
