Police investigating suspicious package

The suspicious package found at Parliament this morning has been taken for forensic examination by Police.

Wellington CIB staff are investigating and following lines of enquiry into who managed to get the item delivered into Parliament and how.

Specialist Police staff and the Army Bomb Disposal Unit dealt with the package mid morning.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Wellington Police on 0800 TIP OFF (0800 847 633).
