WELLINGTON

Kapiti Police are seeking information to find a man who was reported missing a week ago.

Raymond Piper was last seen at Eatwell Avenue, Paraparaumu Beach, at 8.50am on Saturday 15 May. Mr Piper, who is known as 'Son' to his friends, was visiting his three year old son.

Mr Piper's disappearance is totally out of character. Friends he normally contacts have not heard from him and his bank account has not been used since his disappearance.

Mr Piper is a 23 year old male Maori, 170cm tall and of thin build. He has a short shaved haircut with a rats-tail at the back, and had the beginnings of a goatee beard.

He was last seen wearing dark jeans, a black cap with 'Quiksilver' written on it and white or cream Globe skate shoes.

Kapiti Police are interviewing Mr Piper's friends and associates to piece together his movements. Investigators are following lines of enquiry but more information is needed about possible sightings by the public.

Anyone with information is asked to call Kapiti Police on 04 296 6800.
