Results from the North Island and AMI under 19 Wellington Badminton Championships

New Zealand Junior representative Luke Charlesworth (Wtk) won his first senior mens singles title on Sunday by winning the North Island Championships, defeating Auckland’s Ashraf Dhoray in the final.

This result capped off a very good weekend for the youngster who also won triple titles at the Wellington u19 Championships – boys singles, boys doubles and mixed doubles.

Auckland’s Emma Chapple won the womens singles, defeating Waikato’s Susannah Leydon-Davis in the final.
