This weekend Herne Bay Ponsonby Racquets Club (HBPRC) will host a field of New Zealand’s best squash players, including Australian Anthony Ricketts – the ex World # 3 and former British Open Champion, who is now based here as the New Zealand Squash High Performance Coach.
New Zealand’s premier club tournament follows on from the Auckland Open completed last weekend where Campbell Grayson (NZ No.1 and World No.39) and Joelle King (NZ No.2 and World No.21) were crowned champions respectively.
Both will play again at Herne Bay as top seeds.
The tournament commences Wednesday evening and concludes on Sunday afternoon with the Women’s Open final scheduled at 3.20pm and the Men’s Open final at 4.00pm.
