Sports ground closures

GISBORNE

All sports grounds have been inspected this morning & there are a number of ground closures due to the wet weather & some due to maintenance work.

Grounds closed due to weather are as follows;

  • Wainui Reserve
  • Anzac Park
  • Tolaga Bay
  • all of the Oval.

The fields closed to refurbishment work are as follows;

  • Childers Rd No. 1
  • three full sized soccer fields at Watson Park
  • Nelson Rd Reserve No 3 field.

There has been 20mm of rain since 2am & the forecast is for heavy periods of rain today with more rain expected tomorrow. The fields will be inspected again on Tuesday morning.
