WELLINGTON

Enquiries continue this week into the disappearance of Raymond Piper, missing for over two weeks.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Oxnam, head of the inquiry, says over the weekend, Police completed their area canvas and attended a youth festival held on the Kapiti Coast as part of the inquiry.

"Some Kapiti residents also took it upon themselves to search Queen Elizabeth Park, also known as QEII Park, near Paekakariki. I'd like to personally thank these people for what they did over the weekend. This is very much appreciated by Police."

Raymond Piper or Son as he is known to family and friends was last seen about 9am on Saturday 15 May 2010, in the Eatwell Avenue area in Paraparaumu.

He was last seen wearing a black 'Rip Curl' cap, baggy blue jeans, a brown t-shirt with the words 'your girlfriend, my girlfriend' in white and white Globe shoes, similar to that of a basketball shoe. See photo attached below.

DSS Oxnam is urging anyone with any information to contact Police as soon as possible on either 0800 FIND RAY, by emailing Findray@police.govt.nz or by texting 027 241 1394.
