AUCKLAND

Two young men, both Chinese students, will appear in the Auckland District Court today charged with the murder and aggravated robbery of Chinese teen, Jiayi Li, also known as Kiko, who was reported missing to Police on May 22.

Her vehicle was located in a suburban Hamilton St late last night and a body was discovered in its boot. It's believed the body is that of Jiayi Li and Police believe she was killed on or about May 19, 2010.

The accused had been arrested earlier in the evening and were to face theft and use of document charges today, but those charges will be superseded by the more serious ones.

The body will be removed from the vehicle today and a post mortem examination will be carried out as soon as possible, not necessarily today.

Kiko's next of kin have been advised of the overnight developments and family members have made arrangements to travel to New Zealand.

The Hamilton resident who notified Police of the car's location last night said it had been in the street for several days.
