Wellington Based Westpac Rescue Helicopter Transports a Overdose Patient from Kenepuru Sounds

The Wellington Based Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called this evening at 1130pm 2 June 10 to a 19 yr old male from the Marlborough Sound who overdosed on over the counter Medications.
The Helicopter responded with Two Wellington Free Ambulance Paramedics onboard.
The Helicopter was able to land on a small section of beach near the house.
Once assessed by the Paramedics the patient was able to walk to the helicopter.
The patient was then Transported to Wellington Hospital Emergency Department where he is being treated.
