Fatal Crash - SH10 Kaeo

A fatal crash has happened at about 4.45pm on SH10 at Kaeo.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a car has crossed onto the wrong side of the road, while trying to avoid vehicles at the scene of an earlier crash.

It has then collided with a tourist bus travelling in the opposite direction.

The deceased is a 3 year old boy who properly secured in a child seat in the rear seats of the vehicle.

Serious crash are investigating and while it is in its early stages, the indications are that speed and alcohol were not factors in this crash.
