AOS call out

Police in Massey, West Auckland are speaking to a number of people in relation to an incident of disorder in Kopi Place during which a shot was reported to have been fired.

Armed Offender Squad members were called out however all parties involved were identified and secured before their arrival at the scene.

Police have a number of witnesses to interview and a number of addresses to search before details of the incident will be able to be confirmed.

At this stage it cannot be confirmed that a shot was in fact fired, however, contrary to early reporting, no one has gunshot injuries, no one was taken hostage and no one was walking the streets with a firearm.
