Drugs, cash, firearm located in drug operation

Today Counties Manukau Organised Crime Unit executed two search warrants in the Buckland Area of Pukekohe. The warrants related to the Manufacture & Supply of methamphetamine.
The investigation by the District's Organised Crime Unit is part of a sustained Police crackdown on people who are responsible for the commercial manufacture and supply of drugs.
"An amount of white crystals believed to be methamphetamine as well as chemicals and equipment used to make methamphetamine has been located at the addresses. We also located about $30,000 cash as well as a firearm," said Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Lynch.
A 39 year old local man has been arrested and charged with Possession of methamphetamine for supply, supplying methamphetamine, Conspiracy to supply methamphetamine and possession of equipment to manufacture methamphetamine.
He will appear in the Pukekohe District Court on Friday 11 June 2010.
"Police are actively seeking public assistance to continue putting pressure on the drug trade and help their communities rid themselves from people making and selling drugs.
"Acting on information relating to drugs is an absolute priority," said Mr Lynch.
