Arrest for east Hamilton indecent assaults

A man believed responsible for a series of incidents in east Hamilton over recent days was arrested this afternoon and faces a variety of charges.

Detective Senior Sergeant Karl Thornton of the Hamilton CIB said officers investigating the incidents arrested a 20-year-old man and charged him for burglary and indecent assault.

"The charges relate to a series of events that occurred at a Fox St address on 05 and 09 June last week.

"The man will appear in the Hamilton District Court tomorrow. Our enquiries are continuing and further charges are likely," he said.
