Tourist named - Franz Joseph

At about 1.30 pm on the 12th of June 2010, an Australian male tourist died on Franz Joseph Glacier South Westland.

His identity has been confirmed as John PARISIS from New South Wales, Australia.

Police have received a provisional post mortem report from the coroner which indicates that the likely cause of death was from natural causes.

The coroner will make a decision at a later date as to whether an inquest will be held.
