Henderson Police say their investigations into last month’s ice cream robbery of the Ranui Takeaway Store have resulted in four further arrests being made.

On Saturday 29 May 2010 five offenders armed with hammers, a knife and pistol entered the Ranui Takeaway store in West Auckland and threatened the three store employees. They stole a large quantity of ice cream during the incident.

A forensic examination identified one of the offenders and she has already appeared in Court charged with aggravated robbery. The four co-offenders have been arrested and are similarly charged. They've since appeared in Court.

The store owner recognised two of the offenders as being the same persons who robbed him on New Years Eve, when two females disguised in Santa hats stole $200 from the till at Ranui Takeaways.

A 15 year old female and a 14 year old male are jointly charged with last month’s robbery of the Ranui Takeaway Store.

A 16 year old female and a 17 year old female are both charged with robbery of the store on two separate occasions. The two incidents took place on the 31 December 2009 and again on 29 May 2010.

The 18 year old female offender is in custody. The remaining co-offenders are on bail with strict conditions. Further Court appearances are scheduled.
