Heavyweight boxer David Tua is continuing his build up for next months fight
in Atlantic City against American Monte "Two Gunz" Barrett in New Jersey.
The fight had originally been scheduled for June 26 in Sao Paulo, Brazil,
but will now take place at the Tropicana Casino and Resort in Atlantic City
on July 18 (NZT).
Tua, who successfully defended his WBO Asia Pacific and WBO Oriental
heavyweight title belts against Friday Ahunanya in March, is undefeated in
He has been training in the United States for around three weeks, the last
week at camp in a Jersey City gym.
Tua is working out twice a day and is according to his camp 'right on
target' with boxing work during the day, plyometric exercising and cardio
work at night. His sparring varies between six, eiht and up to 12 rounds,
depending on his day. His camp says he is looking very good in his workouts.
