Statement from Tait family - Tauranga

The Tait family and friends are still in shock at the events that occurred at the family home on Tuesday 22 June.

The family is still coming to terms with the loss of Dave and the circumstances in which the tragic events occurred.

At this time, the Tait family do not wish to comment on the matter, and want to spend time with family, supporting each other and coming to terms with their loss.

The immediate family are close-knit and wish to spend time together. Their wish is that the media will respect their wishes and give them time to recover and move on from this ordeal.

The family are planning a small, short funeral for David, initially involving just family members and close friends, with a service to follow at a later date.
