Slips close road - Goose Bay, Kaikoura

Please be advised due to a large slip, State Highway 1 south of Kaikoura is closed in both directions.

The location is given as between the two road tunnels just north of Goose Bay.

Heavy machinery is being dispatched to the area.

There is no estimated time of reopening.
