PAPAKURA

At about 5.30 pm on Monday 28 June, 3 males have approached the complainant behind the shops on Great South Road, Papakura. As the complainant got into his car the offenders have demanded money. They have assaulted the complainant and forced him into the vehicle before driving off with him aboard. The complainant managed to escape from the car a short distance away and a member of the public gave him a lift to the Papakura Police Station. He is receiving treatment at hospital for suspected facial fractures, lacerations and severe bruising to the face and legs.

Counties-Manukau Police are seeking assistance from anyone who may have information regarding the incident and are also eager to locate the complainant's vehicle which is still outstanding. The car is a white 1998 Honda Integra, DGF272. Anyone with information can contact Counties-Manukau Crime Squad by phoning 295-0200.
